While Fox News hosts like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are thriving in ratings, Chris Wallace is losing badly.
It turns out viewers don’t like the lies he peddles about Donald Trump and his allies.
And Chris Wallace sold his soul to Joe Biden with his latest attack on pro-Trump Republicans.
For the most part, Fox News is thriving.
They are dominating in the ratings, while fake news outlets like CNN are hitting historic lows.
But all of the top players accounting for the network’s huge ratings are hosts like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity.
Both Carlson and Hannity are also the biggest pro-Trump voices at the network.
While the two generally average at over 3 millions viewers, Chris Wallace’s show doesn’t even reach one million average viewers.
The grudge he seems to hold against Trump isn’t doing the network any favors.
And things don’t seem to be looking good for his ratings, especially after his latest stunt that truly cements him as a lackey for Joe Biden.
During this week’s broadcast of Fox News Sunday, Wallace had a contentious interview with Republican Rep. Jim Banks.
During that interview, Wallace had the gall to accuse Banks and Republicans of “defunding the police” over their refusal to support a Democrat blue state bailout bill that included police funds as a tiny portion.
It all began when Banks accused Biden of “being held hostage in the White House by ‘the Squad’ and the radicals in the Democrat Party who control their party who have spent the last year’s stigmatizing” law enforcement officers.
“It’s not just about defunding the police, which they fully support, but over the last year, they talked about stripping qualified immunity, protections for police officers who do their job. They talk about cashless warrants and decreasing sentences as well, cashless bail, excuse me, and decreasing sentences,” Banks continued.
Wallace hit back, saying: “Congressman Banks, let me push back on that a little bit because of the program that he announced this week. The President said that the central part in his anti-crime package is the $350 billion in the American Rescue Plan, the COVID relief plan that was passed.”
He then played a video of Biden saying: “It means more police officers, more nurses, more counselors, more social workers, more community violence interrupters to help resolve this before they escalate into crimes.”
That’s when Wallace asked what may be the most insane question ever asked on Fox News: “Congressman Banks, you voted against that package, against the $350 billion, just like every other Republican in the House and Senate, So can’t you make the argument that it’s you and the Republicans who are defunding the police?”
Banks began to respond, before being cut off: “Not at all, Chris. Let’s go back and look at the record over the last year, the comments that Democrats have made to Rashida Tlaib – ”
“No, no, sir, respectfully, wait, sir, respectfully, I heard you make that point, but I’m asking you there’s $300 billion in this package, the President says can be used for policing,” Wallace interrupted.
Banks tried to respond, saying, “The point that I’m making is important.”
Wallace again cut him off, “Let me finish, and I promise I will give you a chance to answer. The President is saying cities and states can use this money to hire more police officers, invest in new technologies and develop summer job training and recreation programs for young people. Respectfully, I’ve heard your point about the last year, but you and every other Republican voted against this $350 billion.”
The Congressman then hit the nail on the head, saying: “When Representative Omar says that policing is rooted in evil and Nancy Pelosi compares officers to stormtroopers, it is very difficult for police officers around the country to recruit people to become police officers.
That’s the crisis we find in police departments all over the country. You can give them more funding, and that’s good, but if they can’t recruit people to become a police officer because we’ve stigmatized one of the most honorable professions in America.”
Even with more money for hiring police, many who would want to pursue that career path are having second thoughts with the anti-police rhetoric coming from Biden and his allies.
Wallace refusing to accept that point, and instead running cover for Biden and the Democrats, shows just how far gone he is.
