Police raid party of 70-100 people in Manchester


Greater Manchester Police said they broke up a large party on Saturday in Withington, in the south of the city, where many people appeared "heavily intoxicated".


It said seven people were fined for breaking virus laws.


Across the weekend, police said 70 people were fined, with incidents including:


- A takeaway in Fallowfield still serving at 10.45pm - breaking the 10pm curfew


- 28 fines in Bolton at nine different locations for indoor gatherings breaking the rules


- Five different households mixing at a property in Farnworth, leading to seven fines.


- Four fines at a house party Fallowfield, where up to 20 people tried to escape through the back garden
